Only a week to go to our fun-filled family event to celebrate the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.

During the afternoon there will be a GROUP PHOTO as there was at the Diamond Jubilee.
DRESS CODE
There is no Dress Code, but if you feel inclined, why not dress to impress? It’s a pretty safe bet that no one alive today will ever see another Royal Platinum Jubilee, so why not push the boat out a bit? You know you want to!
JUBILEE CAKE COMPETITION
A cake which celebrates the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.
Cake competition rules:
Two categories: Under 13 and Over 13.
Please bring your cakes to the marquee at 3.30pm. They will be displayed for one hour enabling people to vote for their favourite – it’s all about the decoration and presentation and the connection to the brief.
The winners will be crowned at 4.30pm.
After which all the cakes will be cut and shared with those at the picnic along with a cup of tea or coffee.
GROUP PHOTO
The Group Photo will be at 5.15 after which the cash-only bar will open.
DANCING
There will be dancing in the evening to the Whippletree Ceilidh Band with a caller. Whippletree are described as “a well established local 4 piece Ceilidh band playing a mix of upbeat, high energy, foot stomping Celtic Folk” They are based in West Cornwall and you can read more at www.whippletreeband.co.uk

All residents of St Ewe Parish should already have received their hand-delivered invitations, if not, please email thewagonhouse@mac.com
Admittance is free to all St Ewe Parish residents and their immediate family. Non-residents are very welcome to join us on payment of a nominal entry fee of £5.00.

DOGS
Well-behaved dogs on short leads are welcome, but owners must be responsible for them (don’t forget to bring poo bags!).
